In Monday's Press & Journal, Investment Director Barry O'Neill answers some of the most difficult questions currently being faced by investors

Barry states that the uncertainty caused by Brexit should be put into context. it’s not any worse than some of the other major economic challenges we’ve lived through over the last few decades like Black Monday, the Dotcom bubble or the global financial crisis. Barry provides guidance on the best course of action during such challenging times.

The article highlights the vital role that diversification across countries and asset classes can play in successful investment portfolios. Having some low-risk assets alongside shares helps to smooth returns and lessens the risk of investors feeling the need to flee the market in tough times. Barry says: “If you have money to invest, be brave, not fearful. And if you have money already invested, batten down the hatches and hibernate – it will soon be spring again.”
