Thank you Maven Capital Partners – for supporting the ‘Carbon Fivers’ challenge to raise funds for Winning Scotland Foundation.

Fund manager Maven Capital Partners deserves a huge thank you for generously supporting our 500 mile cycle challenge around the north of Scotland. With only a few days to go until the team sets off, backing like this will no doubt help significantly with motivation, especially when ‘the Fivers’ need to dig deep for the big climbs.

Maven Capital Partners is a leading private equity and property fund manager, providing flexible equity and loan finance packages to UK SMEs, and attractive investment opportunities for investors.

Maven offers investors the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of UK private companies, investing either through the tax-efficient structure of a Venture Capital Trust or co-investing on an individual transaction basis as an Investor Partner. Investor Partners can also gain access to Maven’s expertise and transactions in the commercial property sector, where they source and undertake a range of projects each year.

Maven partner, Bill Kennedy, commented on the sponsorship saying, “Maven has sponsored the Carbon Fivers because we share the Winning Scotland Foundation belief that young Scots should be the best that they can be. The gruelling 500 mile cycle will be a fantastic achievement and we applaud the efforts of the participants.”

Winning Scotland Foundation is indeed an inspirational charity. It aims to help young people in Scotland ‘achieve their personal best’ in whatever they choose to do, helping to develop resilience, self-belief and determination. It is highly fitting then, that the Carbon riders will be required to call upon these very same qualities themselves in their Highland 500 challenge.

“The route is very demanding physically”, says Carbon lead rider Richard Wadsworth, “however, with the advice from the charity’s champions, we will be prepared to the best level we can be. During the ride we will be thinking of the fantastic support we have received and how much more great work Winning Scotland Foundation will be able to do when we reach our target.”
