Liam Kerr, Director at Carbon in Aberdeen, was delighted to support the latest student prize-giving event at the University of Aberdeen’s Business School, where the Carbon prize was awarded to Ihor Zhupanenko, the top-performing student on the Financial Markets course.
Ihor is currently in his second year of the MA Economics-Finance programme and is a Ukrainian national. He has demonstrated consistent academic excellence throughout his studies, maintaining an overall grade average of A3 (mark of 20+). His performance on the Financial Markets course was particularly impressive, achieving a mark of 20.75 (A3).
Carbon has a long track record of welcoming Accountancy-Finance students into the firm for internships, some of whom have gone on to become members of staff, including Associate Director Matt Duncan, who has now been with the firm for over 10 years.
Carbon is now in its tenth year of supporting the University prize, demonstrating the importance of academia to our investment philosophy which is firmly guided by the University based research of many Nobel Prize winning financial economists.
