Recap: Gordon completes Doddie’5 Lions Challenge

What a week that was……

We arrived in Belfast in monsoon-like rain and left Dublin in Mediterranean sunshine! In between we were battered by headwinds, challenged by the mountains, battled sleep deprivation and fought Guinness induced fatigue!

We had accidents, mechanicals, punctures, illness, saddle sores and lots of general hangryness to navigate!

And we successfully completed the challenge;

We cycled 555 miles in 5.5 days and raised over 555k for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation - a truly remarkable result in so many ways!

At Ballymena RFC we met Ian, former player and MND sufferer, who is benefitting from a drug being trialled and funded by My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. It really is giving Ian hope and underlines just how important it is to continue fundraising and continue the research.

Well done to all the riders for giving it everything & sometimes a bit more! It was a proper challenge which required great teamwork to achieve the goal. Until the next time….
