Giving Back in 2025: A Year of Community Support

This year, our team came together to raise funds, awareness, and hope for causes close to our hearts. Here’s a look back at the charitable initiatives we proudly supported in 2025

Macmillan Coffee Morning

In September, our offices were filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and home-baked treats as we hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning. Thanks to the generosity of our team, we raised over £200 for Cancer Support and Carbon matched this amount, bringing the total to £400. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, brewed, and donated!

Cancer Research UK – In Memory of Julie

In memory of our friend and colleague Julie Wild, we entered four teams into The Edinburgh Marathon Festival’s Hairy Haggis relay, raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Through the determination of our runners and the contributions from our supporters, we raised over £1,000 for this vital cause.

My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

In June our Managing Director, Gordon Wilson, took part in another Doddie Ride, this time around Ireland. He cycled 555 arduous miles in 5.5 days through typically Irish wind, rain, and glorious sunshine! Gordon contributed £15,000 to the overall fundraising total which exceeded £750,000. Thanks to everyone who supported Gordon in a great cause helping those suffering from such a terrible disease.

Foodbank Support

September also saw our Wellbeing Team lead an initiative to support local food banks. Staff raised £150, which Carbon matched to bring the total to £300. These funds provided two large Tesco deliveries to the Edinburgh and Perth Foodbanks, helping families during challenging times.

Perth Chamber Music

We also support the Perth Chamber Music Society and contribute towards their Music Workshops for special needs schools and classes across Perth and the surrounding areas.

Mission Christmas – Cash for Kids

As the festive season approaches, we’re proud to support the Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal and Perth Fire Station’s Christmas Gift Appeal. Our team was encouraged to donate a gift for a local child because we believe every child deserves something special on Christmas morning. They truly stepped up, contributing an incredible £477 worth of gifts! Carbon then matched this amount, bringing the total to an amazing £954. A huge thank you to everyone who helped spread joy this festive season.
