Carbon wins the Gold Standard Award for independent financial advice – five years in a row!

We are delighted to announce that we have once again been awarded the Gold Standard Award for independent financial advice, making it the fifth year in a row.

Gordon Wilson and Darren Lees at Carbon, were thrilled to collect the Award from Sir David Amess MP at a prestigious ceremony held in the historic House of Commons.

The Gold Standard Award is one of the most highly regarded and sought-after endorsements of good practice in our industry, rigorously assessing financial advisory firms on five key pillars of business: financial strength, capability, service, fair value and trust. The few firms who achieve the Award have demonstrated that they have gone above and beyond standard procedures in order to meet the high levels of excellence set.

Commenting on this year’s win, Carbon Managing Director Gordon Wilson said:

“I am immensely proud of this achievement. To win the Gold Standard we have to demonstrate strength in almost every area of our business; we have to show that we have robust systems and processes in place, impeccable professional and ethical standards, a full commitment to furthering trust and innovation in our industry, and that we invest in our staff.

“It’s a tremendous boost for the team. We now head towards 2018 knowing that we have once again been recognised in London as one of the very best financial planning businesses in the UK. It is particularly pleasing that this comes just as we open our London Office.”

All entries are assessed by an independent panel of judges, which includes some of the industry’s most respected directors, advocates and leaders.

The judges commented as follows:

“Carbon Financial has a strong view on how good financial planning can make a difference and it reinforces this view in terms of its people, experience and structure. The team-based approach ensures there is a strong connection with clients and vice versa. The attention to detail on fact finding and risk tolerance is very impressive. The emphasis on a quality service shines through. Really good approach to getting the financial planning message across through blogs and videos. Carbon Financial clearly works hard at keeping its reputation at a high level by working closely with clients to help achieve their goals.”
