Family Business Unit Scotland has recently completed the first ever piece of research into the largest family firms in Scotland and quantified the turnover, profit before tax (PBT) and employment of the largest 100 such firms. These figures will certainly help to give credibility to the family business sector in Scotland. This is a sector which needs to be both recognised for the excellent work done to date and supported so it can make an even greater contribution in future.
