The Bill McLaren Foundation Golf Day 2017

Once again, we were fortunate to get a clear, dry day to tackle the superb course at Blairgowrie Golf Club and we were delighted to be joined by some sports personalities who made their name in Bill’s beloved sport. From the world of rugby, we all enjoyed the company of legends like Andy Irvine, Tony Stanger and Chris Paterson, all of whom were happy to swap the oval ball in pursuit of excellence on the greens of the Rosemount course.

Speaking about the event, Carbon’s managing director, Gordon Wilson said, “As a Foundation business partner we were delighted to welcome some household names from the Scottish rugby scene to take part in another very successful golf day at Blairgowrie. The Rosemount course was in fabulous condition and everyone enjoyed their day.”

The Bill McLaren Foundation is headed by another former Scotland rugby international, Alan Lawson; speaking about Carbon’s continued support he said, “Our association with Carbon Financial Partners goes back many years and we are extremely grateful to Gordon Wilson and his team for their continuing sponsorship and support of our Golf Day at Blairgowrie Golf Club, to our annual dinner in Edinburgh and other events that we organise.

“Our relationship with a prominent business is so important to us as a small charity.”
